Drip

This render is one of many frames taken from a long winded fluid simulation, in which I emulated the popular flash photography of the impact of fluid droplets striking a separate still surface of identical fluid.

Fluid Simulation

This hydroelectric generator was designed for the express purpose of demonstrating how fluid interaction with a propeller can generate movement, which in turn then generates electricity. This was done in much the way one would create educational content for periodical television programs.

Hydroelectric Generator

This visual representation of a hydroelectric generator was created as part of a larger project involving fluid simulation for a simulation and animation dynamics course finished late 2011. This scene was developed over the course of one day. Hoover dam was the primary reference.

Hoover-esque Dam

Hoover Dam was the reference location for this image, which opened a video in which I demonstrated fluid simulation for a class in December of 2011. This and its brother images, as well as the final video, were created from scratch over the course of three days.

Ammo Box Art

This box art texture was generated for use in the previous "Copperpot Munitions" project. It was made entirely in Illustrator, with the exception of the handgun logo, which was a 3D render that was then live traced. Not all of the elements in the final texture were used on the box itself, and the box art text in the rendered image is illegible due to depth of field.

The term Copperpot is a throwback to one of my all time favorite childhood movies, possibly the only other time I've heard the name 'Copperpot'. Any ideas which one?

Copperpot Munitions

Copperpot Munitions. Been purchasing from them for years.

This scene started as an example exercise in which I introduced a close friend to some new render settings midway through a night of video games. It turned into a study on creating realistic ammunition box textures.

Dresser

No good bedroom suite is complete without a dresser, and this little one hour beauty will go nicely in the scene that I'm developing in my free time.

Starkweather

Here's a render of a time constrained (one day) project I completed for a final exam in December of 2011. A few cell phone pictures of the real building, Starkweather Hall, served as the reference photography.

Dorm Room Workstation

Nothing screams productivity like the standard sub-standard dorm room desk. Now all I need to do is model the uncomfortable chair that goes with it!

In all honesty, it's not that bad. Again, it was helpful having direct access to the real world object for this model.

Pocket Knife

This pocket knife was based on example reference material given to me by a professor. This project drove home the amount of realism that can be added to any image by proper use of depth of field.
